Colorado is at a point in time where the decisions they make now could shape the future of their next campaign. Given the dynamism going on ahead of the signing day on 7th of February, Coach Prime and his new recruiting ace from Florida, Devin Rispreen, gear up to final their rooster. Deion Sanders, being ‘the Transfer Portal King’, has lined up one of the finest class for 2024 in terms of gridiron excellence.

The Buffs boast of their 5-star and 4-star players like Jordan Seaton and Tyler Johnson. Per the current lineup, CU is pretty stacked in the offense department, except one position: running back. If the new director of recruiting can work his magic in this, Colorado’s offense would be unfathomable. To make things easier for Deion Sanders and Co, NoSkoZone brought attention to a hidden gem.

Deion Sanders and Co. overlooked J’marion Burnette

Starting off strong, the four star Andalusia player is one of the best running backs in the class of 2024. The kid is an impressive north-south runner, with the correct understanding of defense to dodge defenders at pivotal moments. He makes an outstanding pick for short-yard plays. Burnette comes ready for action, who is ‘expected to be an immediate contributor in a change-of-pace role at the Power Five level.’

Speaking of the physical characteristics of Burnette, he is 6 ft1 tall and weighs 220 lbs. His physical attributes make him sturdy enough to absorb contact. Which made him a possessor of a fabulous 4.4, 40 yd dash. As if all this is not enough to display his worth, Texas Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian reminds him of “Derrick Henry with a faster twitch.”

In his recruitment process, he mentioned about his expectations from a coach. Per him, he needs someone who can understand that he values his family a lot, as well as someone who could get him into the NFL. All the boxes that Deion Sanders check. And for Buffs, the RB checks all the boxes as well. The best part of it all: J’marion Burnette’s recruitment is still wide open. Hence, NoSkoZone suggests him to ‘drape in black and gold’, especially when they need him the most.

DJ Lundy leaves Buffs

A defensive star from Florida, DJ Lundy, announced the change of his mind and his decision to stay back at Florida. This shatters Deion Sanders and Co’s plans to have a strong defense. While they are still working on finding someone who could fill in his shoes, the chances are rare with the transfer portal being closed.

Hence, Buffs need to focus on further strengthening their best weapon, which is their offense. And the addition of a stellar RB like Burnette would give the finishing touches to it.
