Colorado’s Director of Player Personnel Corey Phillips just dropped an interesting tweet on Jayden Daniels after his decision to not test at the NFL Combine. He posted, “[Jayden Daniels] IS THE EPITOME of LEADER. This decision should tell the entire NFL who this amazing young man is. Trust me, TAKE HIM 1st. The next best one is still in BOULDER!!” His statement threw some shade at Caleb Williams who is the favorite No. 1 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft while also highlighting Shedeur Sanders as the potential first pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

The 2023 Heisman Trophy winner said, They’ve worked so hard to get their opportunity in front of everybody and go out there and showcase what they can do. It wasn’t about me, it was about my teammates.” Jayden Daniels chose to throw on LSU’s Pro Day on March 27. The reason? Teams would check him out on that day in Baton Rouge which would also provide exposure to his teammates. He’s already a born leader and his talents are a bonus.
