The season has been a grey area for the Buffs. While the NIL deals skyrocketed after a Deion Sanders star face became a brand identity, the grossly miscalculated on-field calls were a nightmare for Buffs fans. Well, adding yet another ‘bad news’ to the list of the ones Buffs had this season, their longtime offensive lineman Talan Chandler makes a slightly unexpected announcement.
The OL is about to make a major shift to Missouri in 2024, owing to his decision to de-commit to the Buffs. Well, the move alone raises many questions. Not to mention this is not the only move happening after Coach Prime shifted to Boulder. ‘The Coach JB Show with Big Smitty’ featured Matt McChesney, a CU alum, who made shocking revelations on the team after Sanders took over it.

Just a day after Chandler made the announcement, analysts across the world were quick to jump to the nitty-gritty of it. And who would be a better pick than a player who has experienced the Buffs first-hand? Hence, the hosts of the show, as well as the college football enthusiasts, were all in for what McChesney had to say. And his opinions were not in favor of Sanders, to put it nicely, “They’re dead,” was what he thought about the current football team.
However, these claims were not out of mere spite against the changing dynamics in Colorado. He had his reasons, which he gladly listed to the public. ” They’re dead last on running the football, they’re dead last on defense and they’re dead last protecting the passer.” There would be hardly any fan who might completely disagree with this. Sanders’ performance on the field is not up to the mark that the crowd expects from a team of this high caliber. This is also the reason why Chandler is just another name on the long list of young talents de-committing to Colorado from next year.

Other Buffs who made a similar decision
Seems that Chandler was not the only one who ran to apply for the transfer portal. Surprisingly, the portal started listing individuals up since Deion Sanders and Co. completed just a couple of games at the beginning of the season. Another fact that highly intrigued fans was despite the initial games being a success, players still wished to opt out.

And those players were not a small group, they were over a dozen. From WR Montana Lemonious-Craig to DL Jalen Sami, LB Mister Williams, WR Ty Robinson, and many more. What does this signify from Sanders’ point of view? Let us know your thighs in the comments.
