Deion Sanders Jr. knows how to keep things light! Remember Shedeur Sanders’ performance with Lil Wayne at the spring game a few months ago? Little did the quarterback know that his “Perfect Timing” rapping session would lead to bigger issues later, with his dad and half-brother coming to his defense.

The event sparked some controversy, with rumors swirling that Coach Prime pressured players to attend. Now, jokes and memes quickly followed, poking fun at the situation.

One particularly funny meme featured an AI-generated Deion busting out some hilarious dance moves. The visual jab was made in response to a comment reading, “Team: Dance or we not going to Shedeur’s concert.” This lighthearted jab went viral, catching the attention of Deion Sanders Jr. himself. Recognizing the need for a good humor, he reposted the meme on his social media page with the caption “Coach Prime Too Turnt.”

The image, complete with Deion in his signature sunglasses and white hoodie, perfectly captured the playful spirit. Fans flooded the comments section with laughter, showing how this meme defused some of the tension.

Now, this playful response from Deion Jr. also served as a show of support for his father amidst the controversy. The recent reports from Athlon Sports’ Steve Corder claimed that Deion “threatened” players with dismissal if they skipped Shedeur’s performance. He further fueled the fire by reporting that the Lil Wayne concert was “the final straw for a few players who hit the transfer portal.”  However, Deion quickly dismissed these reports as “one of the best lies I’ve heard.”

Now, Deion Sanders Jr. has also joined the defense, not just with his lighthearted social media posts but through other efforts as well.

Deion Sanders Jr. speaks up for his family

Deion Sanders Jr. usually kept a low profile for the Buffaloes. Despite facing nepotism accusations alongside his half-brother Shedeur, he’s held his ground, once posting, “Standing up for yourself doesn’t always mean you have to answer back.”

However, the recent “Shedeur’s Concert” controversy prompted him to speak out. When news broke, he responded playfully, “Bro this is hilarious…They basically said he forcing people to listen to his son’s mixtapes. Dawg this is next level funny.”

But Deion Jr. didn’t stop there. In a recent “Well Off Media” video, he took matters further. He entered the locker room and asked Buffs players directly if they were forced to attend the concert. Most players denied any pressure. Even Shedeur Sanders joined in, explaining it was an unplanned event and no one was “forced” to attend. It seems Deion Jr. is putting on his “big brother” hat, actively defending his family and clearing the air through his media platform.
