Is jealousy brewing between Travis Huntеr and Deion Sanders’ sons? We already know that the Buffs’ two-way star and members of the Sanders family have a great relationship. However, Hunter revealed something interesting in the latest practice session. After a week of rigorous strength training, the coaching staff has now commenced one-on-one drills between the offense and the defense as part of the summer practice.

Well Off Media on June 13 revealed something interesting. During his pre-practice stretching session, Travis Hunter was spotted teasing Bucky with an intriguing question. Seeing head coach Deion Sanders busy with his team, the wide receiver/cornerback of the Buffaloes playfully asked Bucky, “Your dad not love you anymore, bro?”

Deion Sanders Jr.: Why would you say that?
Travis Hunter: Cuz if my dad is always with him (other players) bro, I’d be jealous, bro.
Deion Sanders Jr.: (laughing) No, bro.
Travis Hunter: I’ll be jealous
Deion Sanders Jr: Nah, cause I’ll be going home early. You know Dad wakes up late.”

Well, Hunter and Deion Jr. are known for their behind-the-scenes camaraderie, especially on Well Off Media. And it isn’t really surprising since Hunter grew up idolizing Coach Prime. In fact, his admiration was so much that he wanted to play for Florida State- Sanders’ alma mater. But when Deion Sanders bagged a coaching job at Jackson State, Hunter was quick to ditch FSU and go to Jackson State and later Colorado. Clearly, he is quite close to the Sanders family and has benefitted from all the limelight. At the same time, he has stayed humble and thankful.

However, this time, Hunter teasing Bucky resulted in a playful revenge. What did Bucky do?

On June 14, Deion Sanders reposted a clip originally shared by comedian Gerald Huston. Huston chased a young man wearing a chunky silver “NOBDON” chain in the clip. As the young man tried to open the fridge, Huston asked, “Are you Travis Hunter, bro?” The young shopper, mimicking Hunter’s tone, stuttered and replied, “I, I, I, I, not, Tr-a-a-a-v-i-s, H-u-u-u-n-t-e-r, bro.” The imitation was so accurate that Deion Sanders couldn’t resist resharing it on his account with laughing emojis.

However, the post was captioned “Repost @iamgeraldhuston @db3_tip (posted by @deionsandersjr),” indicating that Deion Sanders Jr. posted it on his father’s account as he manages his father’s social media. Hunter came across the post and didn’t hold back, leaving a comment: “This is how we’re playing, say no more.”

Even Deion Sanders hilariously warned Bucky later, writing, “Bucky, you ain’t right, man! Travis gonna get you, son!!!” Coach Prime’s warning seems right, as Hunter later caught Bucky off guard on the field.

Hunter, often celebrated for his work ethic and effort, has been named to Pro Football Focus’s way-too-early All-American team. Last season, Hunter earned the title of a consensus first-team All-American, and this season could be even better. As the 2023 Paul Hornung winner, he is the only player from Colorado to make it to this preseason list.

Earlier, a viral video showcased Hunter dominating other players in the swimming pool, which seems to have caught the eye of the US national swimming team. The team even attempted to recruit him for the trials for the Paris Olympics via Instagram. “It’s not too late to qualify for our Olympic trials,” the team commented. Seems like Hunter is as loved in Colorado as Deion Sanders’ son. No need for him to be jealous, right?
