As the teams rip each other apart, UCF head coach Gus Malzahn tips his hat to his rival, Deion Sanders. While the Buffs HC is aware of how he is often judged mercilessly, Malzhan chose to stand out from the crowd. And with this, the Colorado Buffaloes alum Matt McChesney could not help but hype up the UCF HC. Malzahn has set an example of how to send a round of applause in his rivals’ way. This is something that CSU Rams coach Jay Norvell should include in his personality. The UCF HC seemed more allured by Deion’s QB son, Shedeur Sanders. So much so that while singing in Colorado’s praise, he sidelined his signal-caller, KJ Jefferson, as he tagged the Buffs QB as the “best.”

People were expecting some dirty attacks from Colorado rivals UCF HC Malzahn. And look at how the tables turned. All that the HC had to say about Deion were good words, “I’ve got a lot of respect for him and the way he does it. I do it my way, he does his way.” McChesney then took this up in the Zero 2 Sixty with Matt McChesney, where the Buffs alum went all head over heels for Malzahn’s respect toward Deion. And how could McChesney let go of the opportunity to use this to open one of Coach Prime’s biggest rivals, Norvell’s eyes?

He started, “That’s how you talk about the Colorado Buffaloes. That’s how you don’t p*ss off your rival and make everybody hate you and talk for two weeks straight, Jay Norvell brother… all he did was compliment him.” What Norvell does to Deion is nothing but senseless bashing. Last month, Norvell stated, “I don’t have any feeling for Deion Sanders… I don’t think about Deion Sanders unless you guys ask me a question about him.” However, the fans know the Rams mentor is always the first one to strip off Deion

And here is a piece of advice for Deion’s rival, “You don’t want you don’t poke holes you just make them feel good about their tent. Be the lion that licks the water, not the one that eats the tent let him get out of the tent and then eat them.” Not only the Buffs HC, but Malzahn also lassoed Deion’s son, Shedeur, in the compliment showdown.

UCF HC’s unshakable belief in Deion’s son

Earlier, Skip Bayless, the Undisputed host, on the June 24 episode, had to predict something grand about the Buffs QB. He confessed, “not just the best QB in that conference but he’s the best QB in the country.” It’s time for Malzahn to walk on the same path as Deion’s son gets the much-needed boost ahead of the 2024 kickoff.

“His son (Shedeur Sanders) is one of the best in the country if not the best. You know, I saw him in that game and he was going intense, great. That looks really good. That has to be Deion Sanders’ son,” commented the UCF HC. Not once in his whole speech did he mention the Knights’ quarterback, Jefferson. When most coaches are in a dilemma about how Shedeur will perform, Malzahn runs confidently.

Fate brings Deion and Malzahn together as equals on September 28. As UCF Knights host Deion’s Colorado Buffaloes, will Norvell get the chance he has been waiting for to land another attack at Coach Prime? Do share your thoughts.
