Leaving Colorado Buffaloes surprised with his shocking exit, Cormani McClain had been all excited for his new journey. However, initially, the former Buffs cornerback did suffer from setbacks, since schools showed a lack of interest in scouting through the transfer portal and recruiting him.

But, things seem to be working out in his favor, as confirmed by Kaishay, Cormani’s mother. A few days ago, she openly condemned Deion Sanders and his program for the lack of support that his son received in Boulder. Now that her son has moved closer to fulfilling his dream, the mother is on cloud nine.

The cornerback’s mother could not contain her excitement for her son’s next big move. Re-sharing ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg’s tweet, Kaishay wrote, “Thankful to each and every Coach that has reached out and gave him another opportunity! God is good @CormaniMcclain7”

As informed by the SXM College host, even though Cormani is taking his time to figure out his way, programs in the SEC, Big Ten and Big 12 have already shown their interest in drafting the cornerback. However, even a few days back, the scenario was different. McClains’s actions and his abrupt decision to leave the Buffaloes had been regarded to be immature. This, in turn, left the potential schools having second thoughts to pursue him. The issue then received a stamp of approval from 247Sports reporter Matt Zenitz, “Even with the talent he [Cormani] has, it’s led a lot of teams I’ve talked to being reluctant to pursue him.” But going by the latest proceedings, it seems that Cormani has found his next home as his mother had always hoped for.

The prime reason for Cormani leaving Boulder

While fans were still grappling with the reality of the Buffs’ program functioning without Cormani, the cornerback’s mother dropped a bombshell revelation on Twitter. Justifying his son’s “immature move”, Kaishay made a bold statement, “Gotta be somewhere where your appreciated and not just tolerated!!! God take the lead, we right behind ya”.

With the Buffaloes, Cormani appeared in just nine games and within his short stint made four starts as well as recorded 13 tackles. However, Deion Sanders seemed not to be impressed much by his performance. Instead, Coach Prime publicly confessed how he wants Cormani to spare some time working on himself, “Study and prepare. Be on time for meetings, show up to meetings. Understand the scheme. I check film time from each player so I can see who’s preparing, so if I don’t see that, you would be a fool to put somebody out there who’s not prepared.”

Even though Cormani has been known for an indecisive and inconsistent stint during his true freshman season, the five-star prospect could be primed for a breakout season. The time ahead will be crucial as it will prove whether his exit from the Buffs squad will cost him highly or it’s impact has been negligible.
