As per the reports, Sanders in an interview with Undisputed had promised to find the Buffaloes a defensive coordinator. Surprisingly, Coach Prime made the impossible possible by finding an alternative in Weaver. The Ravens’ defensive coordinator brings in a wealth of experience having served as the defensive coordinator for the Houston Texans.
With over 12 years of coaching under his belt, Weaver’s NFL pedigree seamlessly aligns with the vision that Sanders holds aiming at improving Colorado’s defense. Stepping into his 14th overall season of coaching, his potential appointment represents a significant leap forward for Sanders’ program.
Interestingly, the Ravens’ defensive line coach has been a top prospect to fill up vacancies for other programs including the Atlanta Falcons the most recent being Miami Dolphins. However, reportedly, it is Coach Prime’s promise of swift action that materializes with the likely addition of Weaver. With this, the decision comes as a blow for the Ravens, the first being Mike Macdonald’s move to the Seattle Seahawks.

Even though, as of now, Sanders is yet to make an official announcement about Weaver taking up a new role in the program, expectations are looming high for Buffaloes’ strategy for the upcoming seasons.
