Shedeur Sanders is poised to be the No.1 pick in the 2025 NFL draft. Top NFL analysts and former NFL stars, like Shannon Sharpe, Chad Johnson, Warren Sapp, and more, have confidently claimed the same on various platforms. It was just a month ago that Skip Bayless said pretty much the same on his show ‘Undisputed’. His fellow co-host and former Buccs star Keyshwan Johnson agreed with him. Extending further on their belief, during their episode of ‘Undisputed’ aired on June 25, Bayless went a step further in praising Shedeur Sanders.

Bayless believed that Shedeur Sanders was going to be the “first pick in the draft and is really, really good at pro football.” Along with this, Bayless also had some heavy words of praise for the QB. “He is as seasoned and experienced as a college football QB you’re going to get. He’s not just the best QB in that conference, but he’s the best QB in the country,” Bayless iterated on his podcast.

Well, just as Bayless’s words are starting to stir the pot in the CFB world, the Shedeur Sanders supporters are already joining hands to agree in unison with Bayless’s words. Lauren Askevold, the assistant athletic trainer of Deion Sanders, too agreed with Bayless’ words. Showing her approval, Askevold took to her X account to tweet, “PERIOD” as a reply to Bayless’ assessment of Sanders.

Askevold is someone whom Prime trusts with his life; she is the one whom fans often spot exercising Prime’s legs on the sidelines as he monitors the performance of the players. Since Prime’s condition with blood clots in his legs has worsened over the years, leading to the amputation of two of his toes, Askevold’s physiotherapy greatly aids him in his daily life. However, it is not just Deion Sanders and Shedeur Sanders that Askevold supports; she believes in their whole team.

Lauren Askevold on Shedeur Sanders and Co. in the 2024 season

Askevold has seen Prime find his way through thick and thin. Whenever Prime is in the hospital for his checkups or surgeries, Askevold is there right beside him. Hence, Askevold’s word on Deion Sanders’ preparation for the 2024 season can easily be counted upon.

Sharing her thoughts on the preparation of Buffs to face their rivals, Nebraska, first, followed by the North Dakota State per their schedule, Askevold, again, just had one word to pass her verdict. Not even a word, just some numbers to show the intrepid spirit that the Buffs are stepping into the 2024 season with. “12-0,” she tweeted, signifying that the Buffs are looking for nothing less than a perfect season.

Expecting them to make such a huge leap from the previous season’s 4-8 record to an unbeatable season might seem overly ambitious. But again, Coach Prime isn’t one to limit himself to ‘feasible’ goals. Only time will tell if Askevold’s prediction will come true!
