Woah! Apart from being a phenom himself, Colorado Buffaloes QB Shedeur Sanders acts as a magnet to draw more talents to Deion Sanders’ Colorado Buffaloes. That’s exactly what happened in WR Will Sheppard’s case. He transferred from Vanderbilt Commodores to Boulder right after the spring practice period. And months after his transfer here is the big reason that propelled him to be on Deion’s roster- the Shedeur Sanders factor. As tweeted by one of the Buffs fans on August 10, Sheppard disclosed how No.2 (Shedeur) will inspire his talents as a WR. Meanwhile, the Buffs QB too soars high with confidence and drops a bold claim about the Super Bowl.
For the first four years of his college career, Sheppard played against SEC opponents in Nashville. With the Commodores, the WR bagged in over 2,000 receiving yards paired with 21 touchdowns and came off as a great talent to tackle high-level competition. But the 6-foot-3 and 205-pound Sheppard then decided to be part of the Buffs fam. And what played a big role in his decision to flip? In an interview with Nikki Edwards, a Buffs beat writer, the WR confessed, “The biggest thing is Shedeur and playing with a QB of that caliber.”
🔥@willshep20 main reasons for joining the Buffs were to play with #2, the attention on the program, and the coaches

However, if you think the Buffs QB is the only reason, then you would be mistaken. Sheppard further elaborated how he would like to soak in the attention that the Buffs enjoy on social media and having a hardcore fanbase. “And then obviously the media attention and just all eyes on this program and having that opportunity to play in front that many people on that kind of stage,” claimed the WR. There is another big reason that allured Sheppard that he couldn’t resist, that’s the number of golden jackets Buffaloes have in their coaching roster. After all the 127 years of NFL experience is no joke!

But above all, it’s the QB Shedeur from whom it’s difficult for Sheppard to shift focus. So much so, that even playing for a different position, he gets inspired by Deion’s son. He has listed out a few factors that are also Shedeur’s USP that would inspire him to be a better WR, “Attention to detail, route detail and ball placement and knowing what’s going on. He rarely makes a wrong read, rarely makes a bad throw.” Shedeur’s self-assurance is so loud, it’s difficult to ignore.
Shedeur’s determined outlook before 2024 kicks off
Being Deion Sanders’ son, Shedeur is no stranger to high expectations. Even though they had been stripped off badly after the 2023 season that handed them out with a poor 4-8 script followed by the disastrous transfer portal, the Buffs QB never runs out of hope. And here came the big claim, “We know we’re everybody’s Super Bowl.”

He knew that he would be served a plate of hot takes about his lofty beliefs, but never mind as the QB continued to elaborate further. “It’s been that since Day 1. I remember [my] first media day, when I was in an HBCU, I said we won’t lose a game. I’m undefeated in the SWAC. So, I already know what the expectation comes with. … I really just always stay level-headed,” Shedeur spilled the beans.
And guess what? Sheppard is not the only one catching the Shedeur fever. UCF quarterback KJ Jefferson too worships the Buffs QB. So much so, that the fanboy has got a printout of Shedeur’s poster pasted in his locker. Shedeur’s charisma is like a catchy tune everyone’s humming!
