The grass isn’t always greener on the other side. After suffering a season of hype and criticism in 2023 as part of Coach Prime’s first season, many players have decided to leave Colorado. The Buffs lost more than 40 players in the spring transfer portal.

Many players who left were freshmen at Colorado who didn’t see much game action in 2023. Talented players like RB Dylan Edwards, TE Michael Harrison, and CB Omarion Cooper also jumped ship. However, some players aren’t lucky enough to face the same portal success.

After leaving Coach Prime and Colorado behind, uncertainty awaits the players who aren’t met with portal success. June is fast approaching, and 12 former Buffs players are still stuck in the portal with no potential landing places yet, per a report by Colorado Buffaloes Wire. According to 247Sports, these players have yet to find a new home.

QB Gavin Kuld

After leaving Colorado on May 2, Kuld recently got into an online beef with Shedeur Sanders after indicating that he’s selfish and self-centered. He spent last season in Boulder as a walk-on QB with one completion in November.

WR Tar’Varish Dawson

Dawson, who was dismissed from Colorado in February, entered the portal on April 16. However, he still hasn’t found his next college but he recently posted a photo of himself with CSU Rams HC Jay Norvell.

WR Jacob Page

After redshirting his only season in Colorado last year, Page entered the portal to join Dawson on April 16.

OL David Conner

Like the WRs, Conner also hit the portal on April 16. He was a former Florida product who didn’t play in 2023.

OT Jeremiah McCrimmon

McCrimmon entered the portal on December 20. He also didn’t see any game action in 2023.

CB Adam Hopkins

In his first season under Coach Prime, Hopkins appeared mostly with the special teams despite being one of the top players that Colorado signed in 2023. He left on April 22.

Safety Myles Slusher

Slusher appeared in four games recording 17 total tackles in 2023 before leaving on April 8.

Safety Jahquez Robinson

Robinson entered the portal on January 11 after starting two games last season.

Safety Vito Tisdale

Tisdale also played three games in 2023 before hitting the portal on April 17.

LB Kofi Taylor-Barrocks

Taylor-Barrocks spent one season with the Buffs and entered the portal on April 30.
