The campus of Colorado Buffs is sparkling with some fine adornments as Black and Gold Day is underway. Until now, CFB has witnessed Spring Game Days as a competition. But infusing his Prime touch to it, just like most other things at Colorado, Deion Sanders has pledged to put a spin on the narrative. This time, the Black and Gold Day would be a festival at CU, one for which the preparations are in full swing at Boulder. Deion Sanders and Co. are planning on making the bigger-than-ever weekend promising enough for the whole CFB world to stop and behold.

While the actual gridiron action will unfold on April 27, the spirit of the Black and Gold Day will be long-instilled by then. The multi-day ‘festivities’ would feature some of the best plays lining up for the Arrow Electronics Black and Gold Day, whereas the pre and post-celebratory evenings would be lining up some of the most flamboyant events. During his recent appearance in YoungMoneyRadio with Lil Wayne, Sanders gave a candid account of all the glitz and glamour his team has lined up for the day.

“We’re doing a whole Prime Weekend. We’re having a fashion show on Thursday, something for the boosters on Friday, the game on Saturday, and an after-party. Maybe at halftime of the game or after the game, on the rooftop, we’re gonna have somebody to perform,” Prime said. Prime maintained the element of enigma during his conversation with Lil Wayne but might have accidentally given the ultimate hint to his fans through his unfiltered conversation with Yella Beezy.

Or was it intentional? That only Coach Prime can say. But fans watched how candidly Sanders enjoyed the preparations with rapper Yella Beezy. Would Beezy perform with Lil Wayne, or would it be a special solo performance that Beezy would do to set the Buffs’ festivities on fire?

The CU events center will witness something grand, a history-making superstar setting off the post-game celebrations with ‘The Show‘ presented by Outback. While Wayne will add the glamor to the after-party of the Buffs, the person who performs at the halftime or during other festivities remains a huge question, one that the fans are anticipating an answer for.

The Prime Weekend is set to redefine what it means to have an after-party or even celebrations in CFB, especially when it will be about the Spring games. It would also skyrocket the ticket sales for the concerts and the popularity of the Colorado Buffs to an even higher level than they are already sitting on. The grand festivities at Buffs would also bring in some good revenue for the team ahead of the regular season, once again highlighting the business acumen he flaunts.
