After getting suspended from his former team, Bishop Thomas finally found a new home to provide his services. The Colorado Buffaloes defensive lineman Thomas was suspended from the team for violating the rules. The Buffaloes’ head coach Deion Sanders brought Thomas from his portal surge program in the previous year and Sanders’ pick turned out to be a promising one, until the event of a violation of rules. 

After playing nine games for the Colorado Buffaloes last season, Thomas is now moving to a new team. In the 2022 season, the four-star recruit played for the Florida State Seminoles where he played just two games and then entered the transfer portal after the 2022 season. However, after spending one season with the Buffs, Bishop Thomas is again in a new place.

College Football reporter, Matt Zenitz took to his Twitter account to break the news of Bishop Thomas moving to Georgia State. A 6.2-foot-tall defensive tackle will now be serving Georgia. 

Sharing the news, Zenitz wrote, “Former Colorado and Florida State defensive lineman Bishop Thomas has committed to Georgia State. The Class of 2022 three-star recruit played in nine games for Colorado last season.

However, Thomas was a key player in the Buffaloes’ defense. After his transfer, the Buffaloes will face a new challenge to fill in his place.

Bishop is among the top 100 players coming from Bishop Moore Catholic High School in Florida. During his tenure with the Colorado Buffaloes in the 2023 season, Bishop scored 117 defensive snaps and six tackles. However, in the recently released “Coach Prime” docuseries on Amazon Prime, Deion Sanders revealed that Thomas was suspended and his status for the upcoming season will be evaluated. 

But the HC already had his backup plan ready. He lineup up star defensive linemen for the Buffaloes. He got LSU’s Quency Wiggins and Pittsburgh’s Samuel Okunlola through the transfer portal. After Thomas’ transfer to the Georgia State, Sanders already got his place filled.
