However, some observers, like the Prime to Colorado, believe that Wester’s reaction stems from a desire to prove himself and elevate his game. They argue that his previous stats would likely have earned him a spot on the coveted list if Wester were still at FAU. With an impressive record of 108 catches for over 1100 yards and eight touchdowns last season, Wester’s skills are undeniable. Although the list may not be good news for Wester, Hunter’s achievement cannot be overlooked.

Hunter had an impressive performance on his first year as a Buffalo, amassing 57 receptions for 721 yards, with an average of 12.6 yards per catch, and securing 5 touchdowns. He also earned 21 points with one first-place vote, which is a surprising achievement given his primary focus elsewhere.
Hunter was already a prominent cover corner in college football, but his offensive impact was equally noteworthy, showcasing his versatility by excelling on both sides of the ball. In nine games, he achieved what no Colorado receiver had since Laviska Shenault in 2018, demonstrating remarkable skill while also contributing on defense, despite missing three games.
