For the Colorado Buffaloes 4-8 last season record, if anyone has been blamed the most it is Shedeur Sanders. Hence, as Deion Sanders’ program is prepping up for this season, it is on the quarterback that their fate depends on. On the Locked on Buffs podcast, host Kevin Borba comes up with his analysis on the point that Shedeur must channel most of his focus.

According to Borba, Shedeur needs some serious improvement as far as his crucial decision-making skills are concerned. This is the only thing that the Buffs quarterback needs to take care of since the rest, Coach Prime has got it covered to keep Shedeur out of harm’s way.

Shedeur Sanders ended the season as the most-sacked quarterback in major college football. It was found that Deion Sanders’ son depended blindly on the offensive line that in turn lacked protection. Even though it might be a hard pill for Coach Prime to swallow, the concerned father did leave some advice for his son. In one of the practice sessions, Deion Sanders was heard telling Shedeur, “You got it but anticipate a little quicker. Try to see it a little quicker. Make it happen a little quicker. I’m talking about everything.”

The same thing has been taken up by Borba as he advised, “If Shedeur Sanders is able to sort of get the ball out and make better decisions in terms of when he just gives up on a play…sometimes you just have to sort of understand ”.

Instead of relying entirely on the defense for his protection, sometimes Shedeur must take action on his own. “I know the defense is giving me but the route just not developing or someone blew a block or missed an assignment sometimes you just have to be like okay I’m gonna throw the ball out of bounds,” Borba further instructed. All that Shedeur has to do is take care of his skills since Deion Sanders has already kept a protective O Line ready for him.

Deion Sanders’ O-Line overhaul

Deion Sanders has re-stocked his roster this time with special attention to the O Line. Some of the latest additions are five-star recruits Jordan Seaton, Tyler Johnson, and Justin Mayers. Running high in confidence, Coach Prime talked about his high hopes on Thee Pregame Show, “I’m expecting them to play fast and to really play physical.” The Buffs are expected to start Seaton, the country’s No. 1 prep offensive line recruit, at the most glamorous position on the unit.

Even though Tyler “Rock” Brown might be an old addition, he was bound to stay out of the gridiron due to the NCAA’s ineligibility verdict. Brown now wishes to support Shedeur, going to any extent. Protecting Shedeur is the motto that runs through the O Lines’ bloodstream as “Rock” confirmed, “He’s a phenomenal teammate and an even better human being! We all love him and would go to war with him any day!”

Hence, Deion Sanders’ has been successful in his mission to do the background work and not allow any sack to hurt his son Shedeur this time. Now the responsibility is on the quarterback to do his part, making the best use of the reformed O Line. Will Shedeur be able to put forward a new narrative for the Buffs this time?
