The offseason for Coach Prime and the Buffs has been quite a storm. Between draft talk, transfer portal changes, and a recent NIL merger that could bring millions to the program, there’s been plenty to keep everyone busy. Deion Sanders and his sons even took a well-deserved vacation to the Dominican Republic to escape the buzz for a bit. But the excitement didn’t stop while they were away.
Sanders & Co. are all set to tackle the rest of the offseason with a new vigor. Last season, Alejandro Mata faced one of the toughest challenges yet in his life. As the kicker for the Colorado Buffaloes, he had to prepare for his United States citizenship test. Mata even sought advice from Coach Prime on some of the test questions, which Sanders confessed he didn’t know himself.

After months of anticipation, Mata took to Instagram to share the joyful news. “Today marks a significant milestone for me as I officially attained US citizenship, making it an exceptionally memorable day,” he posted. However, Mata still remains “deeply connected to” and proud of his “Latin-American roots.” He even shared his message in both Spanish and English. Concluding his post, he expressed, “ I’m profoundly grateful to the United States for welcoming me and opening new doors in this exciting chapter of my life.”

HC Deion Sanders recently took a well-deserved trip to the Dominican Republic with his sons Shedeur and Deion Jr. While his daughters and Shilo missed out on the fun, Coach Sanders and his boys flew on their private plane. The crew enjoyed some beach time during their week-long getaway, catching some sun rays.
Not only that, he even got lost while jogging and needed a rescue. But Coach Prime turned this vacation goof into a motivational message. “I now have direction, correction, protection & now I’m making proper selections,” he shared, thanking God for the experience.
