Be it the dawn of light or the greetings of the night sky, Coach Prime’s haters are always out to defy. Ever since he stepped foot on the gridiron in 2023, Deion as the HC has been a hard pill to swallow for the community. Despite not having an explosive first season, everyone’s always out to get Deion Sanders but he continues to rile them even more by turning a deaf ear. Especially when it comes to the notorious Paul Finebaum, Deion knows much better than to entertain his scathing opinions.
Paul Finebaum has been constantly after Deion like a sword to his neck. He’s been constantly criticizing the skills of the Buffaloes’ HC and hasn’t eased up even a year after he’s been in Boulder. While earlier he used to say things like Deion’s just a “celebrity coach”, he recently took it up a notch by claiming that he doesn’t have the patience to stay with the team long enough to win a championship. Despite all his harsh comments, fans of Coach Prime like Matt McChesney stand behind him like a rock in these troubled times and shelter him from the storm that hails the name of Deion Sanders.

While mentioning how Deion has made Colorado a household name, he said, “The opportunity to take something that Coach Prime knows he is, which is great, and sprinkle it all over the program and turn it into dinner table conversation, dog, like that’s how great he is. Bro, it’s something new every day from the perspective of trying to figure out how they’re going to do things but true greatness is hard to find in this world, and watching it, it’s incredible. He brings to the University of Colorado, his own personal greatness which you know, is pretty hard to find out there.” Thus, the Colorado fans are still die-hard lovers of Coach Prime and everything he does despite the opinions of Paul Finebaum and will look to him with great expectations as he leads the team this year. Joining hands with Matt McChesney regarding the importance of Deion Sanders, is Cam Newton, the former QB for the Carolina Panthers.

The ESPN analyst also went so far as to state that the USC Trojans should sign on him after the potential release of Lincoln Riley from the team. All these speculations from Finebaum make it seem like he doesn’t take Deion seriously or he ever has.

During an episode from 26th July, Cam Newton took to his show, ‘4thand1show’ and lashed out at Paul Finebaum in the fiercest way possible. He said, “You can’t name me another program that is more relevant than Colorado or any other team right now. Paul, watch your words. I see what you tried to do, but you tried it, no chewing gum. If anybody is relevant, if anybody is going to play for the Super Bowl, I think yeah Shilo or Shedeur probably said that in a way that he knows a lot of people are going to play their best because a lot of people will be watching that game, that’s what he meant.” Thus, Deion needs to pull up his socks and show a dominant side to the Buffaloes that will make all his haters shut up and be a part of the spectacle, including his public enemy number 1, Paul Finebaum.
