Caleb Williams, the USC Trojans QB, was watching his idol on the television and expressed his happiness on the same through an Instagram story.

The 21-year-old young phenomenon took the NCAA by storm last year after winning the Heisman Trophy. He looks in sublime touch this year as well as he looks to bag another title. His numbers have been outstanding and now we know from where he draws his inspiration from. Williams is a through-and-through Messi fan. He is inspired by his idol’s work ethic and loves to win titles as well! Messi’s crowning moment is of great importance to athletes all over the world including Williams. Caleb Williams stays positive amidst a dwindling NFL draft chatter

Nearly two weeks ago, Williams was all the rage in the NCAA competition. He was viewed as the automatic pick for the 2024 NFL drafts. There was a growing chatter that several successful teams were after the young pro as he moved up in his career. But that’s all in the past now after consecutive losses against Notre Dame and Utah. His NFL draft prospects seem to be dwindling.

Personally, his pursuit of the Hesiman Trophy also might be over already. But the player is keeping his hopes alive for the team to make it to the playoffs. He said “We’re halfway through the season and you don’t necessarily know what’s gonna happen. You’ve seen a lot of ranked teams lose, you’ve seen a lot of close games with ranked teams, and right now there’s a lot of one-loss teams and not so many lossless teams.” The task is cut out for the side, they now need to win all of their four games!
