From a college football star to a convict, some stories aren’t what the world expected to hear. LSU RB Trey Holly being linked with last week’s shooting in Farmerville, Louisiana, is one of them. According to ESPN reports and Union Parish Sheriff Dusty Gates, ESPN’s No. 10 RB turned himself in on Thursday after the February 9 shooting incident and was booked at the Union Parish Detention Center.
Holly entered LSU as a 4-star recruit and No. 15 RB of the 2023 class. Last season, he played three games as a true freshman with 11 carries for 110 yards and a touchdown. He previously started at Union Parish High School for five years taping a state-high record with 10,523 rushing yards along with 160 TDs. Whether the charges are true or not remains to be seen, but the event has undeniably tarnished his career forever.
