After getting a ton of “clicks” for the “I don’t want to play for the clicks” allegation he made against Deion Sanders, Cormani McClain is finally on the verge of finding a home, rather might be returning home. And it might be one that previously belonged to Deion Sanders. Well, the CB was heavily rumored to have great difficulty finding a good landing spot after all the drama unfolding, plus his lower-than-set expectations records for the No.1 rated CB out of high school.

Yet, the strings of fate seem to be working in McClain’s favor, as the CB is reported to be a “major contender” to secure a spot at Florida State University. The Florida native might be returning to his hometown, which is a “strong rumor” by Adam Gorney. “Hearing Florida could be a major contender to land former five-star DB Cormani McClain, who transferred out of Colorado after one season. Nothing confirmed, but the rumor is out there,” Gorney speculated on his X. But there is a best part about all this.

McClain going to FSU, the team that Deion Sanders once handled and the team he shined through in his college years, was as wild as it gets. But if the speculation does turn true, it would be even wilder. The reason? McClain, a guy who passionately rebelled against Sanders, would now be handling the role of the CB (also, ironically, the position that Deion Sanders primarily played and won in).

With the move, McClain would be joining another former CU player, Omarion Cooper, who was recently made a part of the Seminoles after he left CU.

Omarion Cooper leaves CU

All it took was one year for Cooper to realize his true calling wasn’t in Colorado. That and his expectations didn’t align with the program. Hence, the DB announced his decision to leave CU. “All faith and glory to the man above #GoNoles,” Cooper tweeted, announcing his decision on Tuesday.

The FSU player transferred to Colorado, after playing 2 seasons with the Seminoles, last year. During his time with CU, Cooper started 8 of the 9 games, recording 37 tackles, 5 pass breakups, a sack, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery. Losing a player like him to the transfer portal amidst the mass exodus was disappointing to the Buffs. “Go be great!” Deion Sanders Jr. wrote to Cooper on X.

Now was that sarcastic or a genuine farewell message for the DB, that only Deion Sanders Jr. can tell?
