Prime Time is officially underway in Colorado, as the Buffaloes started their spring practice on Sunday under the guidance of the legendary Hall of Famer Deion Sanders. The former Jackson State coach took over as the head coach of the Buffs last year in December. Since then, he made plenty of changes to the squad. He brought more than 40 new faces on the team, including his son Shedeur Sanders; moreover, he advocated for Shedeur in his very first presser. Before the practices began on Sunday, coach Prime and other staff members hyped up the entire squad with some hard-hitting speeches.

Notably, Sanders was wearing a cowboy hat, as he gave a chilling speech at the beginning. Then, other staff members also followed him, including offensive coordinator Sean Lewis. As the video went viral on social media, many fans compared Sanders’ speech with comedian Kevin Hart’s impeccable comic timing.

Earlier, the official Instagram handle of the Buffs shared the video, where Sanders could be seen saying, “It’s time” over and over again. In the first instance, he called out the players for sounding so low, by saying, That was garbage right there…

Then he further said, I want you look at the person right next to you, look at right in the eye, and say it’s time…” Suddenly, the players also became louder, as Sanders appreciated the players.

Meanwhile, many fans felt bad for other staff members, as they had to follow Sanders’ speech. One fan made a comparison by using Kevin Hart and Jess Hilarious as an example. One user wrote, Coming behind prime to do a speech sucks. Thats like putting Kevin Hart on stage before the main event and the main is jess hilarious lol.

Many fans agreed with the statement. Others pointed out that the assistant coaches did a fantastic hyping up the players after Sanders. A fan wrote, “As a ex player and coach I can say his assistant coaches did a great job and kept them fired up and motivated.”

As the players started their spring practice, they are looking forward to April 22, their spring game. Notably, the game will be on ESPN, as they will televise only the CU games this season.

Interestingly, during their spring practice, players did not have any numbers on the back of their jerseys. As per the Hall of Famer, players have to earn their numbers in the training. The most worthy player will get the No 1 jersey. Speaking about it, he said, “How can you ask for No. 1 when you ain’t the one?”

Then, Sanders also wants his players running on the field from one drill to another and not walking. Another rule is if the QB makes a bad pass, he should retrieve the ball. Safe to say, Sanders is showing who’s the boss at the moment. However, it will be interesting to see if that will be enough to achieve success this season.
