The Colorado Buffaloes head coach finds himself in a pickle for having a soft corner for his elder son, Shedeur Sanders. In a comedic clash between Coach Prime and his younger son, Shilo Sanders, the coach has been seen juggling his mentorship duties and his commitments as a father. This follows a recent TV appearance by Coach Prime.

Deion Sanders has recently appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Shilo light-heartedly expressed his frustration at being overshadowed by his father’s praise for Shedeur and not him. Earlier, too, Coach Prime openly rallied for Shedeur, giving rise to a comedic sibling rivalry between Shedeur and Shilo.

Shilo’s grievance for Deion Sanders after feeling overlooked

Before the Buffaloes took charge of the spring season, Deion Sanders seemed very confident as he appeared on The Tonight Show. On being asked whether Shedeur being the top pick in the NFL draft next year is a rumor, Coach Prime replied, “Well he should. Why would they be rumors?” Finding his father to be confident about his brother, Shilo light-heartedly expressed his disappointment. During the training session, he expressed his emotion to Deion Sanders, “I need you to say all right yeah I have a son that’s going first round, Shedeur and I have another son that should go first.”

When Coach Prime responded to his son’s grievance, Shilo demanded the acknowledgment of his talents along with his brother’s, “I watched your show, Jimmy Fallon. He did. He has the door but he is supposed to throw me in there too. So now I have to throw myself in there I’m supposed to be going high too.” Lastly, Shilo placed his plea for validation with, “I need to be thrown in there as high draft all right.” Shilo addressed Deion Sanders a few days back for his alleged favoritism toward his elder son. 

Deion Sanders vocalizes his love for his sons

A recent Well Off Media video showed fans the playful dynamic that prevails in the Sanders family. In the clip, Shilo was seen jokingly exposing his father for having a selected hearing. The incident goes so that when Shedeur uses foul language, according to Shilo, Coach Prime is clueless: “He act like he don’t hear nothing but he hear me every time.” Shilo’s witty commentary caught the Buffaloes squad having light-hearted moments, taking their time off from the emotionally and physically strenuous training sessions.

On being charged by Shilo for favoring Shedeur, Deion Sanders evolved into a proud father caring for all of his children. For Coach Prime, each of his sons brings a unique personality to the table as he asserted, “Junior is more of the business side, intellect. Shedeur is more of me, Deion… Shilo is more Prime… That’s how all three of them ride.” 

Hence, despite any playful banter about favoritism, Deion Sanders is a pillar of support for all his sons. Not a single trait or individual strength of his children could avoid the watchful eyes of the father who continually strives to make him proud.
