Per the CFB world, Deion Sanders bagged a massive treasure when he secured Jordan Seaton and other four-star players for his class of 2024. According to On3’s Andy Staples and Philip Dukes, Sanders could do better. Pulling off the No. 1 class of 2023 nationwide was insufficient for Deion Sanders to secure a winning record last season. They managed a mere 4-8 despite having some of the best players like Travis Hunter. Is history about to repeat itself? Deion Sanders has also aced with his recruitment this season, but will all of it go down the drain again?

The ON3 analysts broke down the possibility of the Buffs ending their season on a sour note again. Because of a fundamental flaw in their recruiting style, they are not recruiting to win; they are recruiting to bring four- and five-star talent into their program, per Staples. Guest Philip Dukes highlighted the problem with hiring five-star players. “They’re not the Day 1 starter, and even if you go if he were to sign a class full of five stars you still don’t guarantee that these guys come in ready to play,” Dukes opined. However, he was equipped with the solution for it as well. “Now you got to start to say, ‘I need really good three stars, almost four stars, on a consistent basis.'”

Deion Sanders will have a way to make up for the mistake: the spring transfer portal. When the transfer portal opens its windows in mid-April, it will give Sanders and Co. a golden opportunity to raise the level of their talent. According to the interview, Deion Sanders and Co. need tough guys who can play football instead of players with shiny resumes of achievements. Do the Colorado Buffs look like they are on track to change their roster? The appreciation pouring in from Shedeur Sanders and Deion Sanders for ‘the new kid’ makes it hard to believe.

Shedeur Sanders and Deion Sanders pour praise for Jordan Seaton

With the spring day practice kicking off at Colorado, five-star recruit Jordan Seaton has emerged as the star of each practice session. Looking at the videos Well Off Media is releasing, the Buffs team seems pretty impressed with what Seaton has to bring to the table. While Staples and Dukes believe the five-star kids aren’t ready to play, Shedeur Sanders begs to differ. “I’ll say Jordan showed me that he’s ready. He showed me a lot that I really didn’t expect that much from him,” Shedeur Sanders said in Buffs’ press conference.

Well, Seaton has also received approval from the ultimate authority, the head coach at the Buffs. Deion Sanders did not stop gushing when he landed Jordan Seaton to toughen up his offensive line and reduce the number of sacks Shedeur Sanders had to endure last season, which was the highest in the nation. “The big fellow man, I call him big time. Love everything about this kid man,” Deion Sanders said to Stephen A Smith. “He knows what he wants but he’s willing to work to go get it,” Sanders added further in praise of Jordan Seaton.
