Deion Sanders, coach of the Colorado Buffaloes, has finally run out of words. The 55-year-old NFL Hall of Famer suffered a tremendous defeat at the hands of the Oregon Ducks this past Sunday’s game. With a staggering score of 42-6, it shocked the fans and left them in a state of awe, as this might very well be one of the Buffs’ lowest scores in a while.

The NFL Hall of Famer had a few words to say in response to his team’s poor performance. He said, “Candidly, you better get me right now. This is the worst we’re going to be.” As the Sanders family recovers from the defeat, they can be seen supporting each other. Deion’s son Shedeur Sanders, QB for the Buffaloes, posted a photo with his father in solidarity on his Instagram account. Meanwhile, Shilo Sanders’ mother also came in support of her son.

Deion Sanders’ ex-wife, Pilar Sanders, took to her Instagram account and supported her son Shilo through a heartfelt post. She posted a total of 5 pictures of him and captioned it, “So proud of you @shilosanders @cubuffsfootball way to keep fighting on to the next! LETS GO!” In the comments section of the post, fans left supportive messages for the 23-year-old and praised his performance in a game that slipped away too fast from the Buffaloes’ hands.

More often than not, Shilo can seem to be overshadowed by the legacy of his father and his brother’s up-and-coming greatness. Thus, it doesn’t leave a lot of room for the safety player to shine in an already tense environment. Even after a tragic defeat, Shilo was able to perform meticulously for the team and the fans took notice. Though he’s moving slowly, there’s a good possibility that Shilo could be one of the greatest in the newer generation of the NFL.

While his brother is in the limelight for the NFL drafts in 2024, Shilo Sanders also seems promising as he’s been performing for the team consistently. While he sports his father’s 21 on his jersey, he still has a lot more to prove. As his younger brother Shedeur is in the news to be the first pick for several teams, Shilo needs to catch up.

Even though the NFL draft picks are flying by, Deion made it abundantly clear that his sons won’t be going to the NFL next season. Coach Prime knows best and he probably knows better when it comes to his children. Through this statement, it has been made clear that both the Sanders brothers will be staying in the NCAA for another reason.
