The Coach Prime effect seems to be in full swing since rival teams have started to imitate the tactics that he implements. Deion Sanders is undoubtedly one of the most influential figures in the world of college football and continues to be a figure of inspiration, most recently to the LSU Tigers.

Coach Prime wanted to ensure top-quality nourishment for his players when he demanded increasing the quality of the food in the cafeteria. As a result, he wanted to provide due credit to the chef and ended up putting the names of the executive chef on the official website for the Colorado Buffaloes. On 8th June, ESPN reported that LSU had also added the names of their chefs on their official website. While ESPN didn’t credit Deion for the action, the fans knew all the better. And now, Deion is doubling down on the coverage of his team’s chefs as Uncle Neely releases a new video.

On the June 10th episode of ‘Thee Pregame Show‘, Uncle Neely provided a deep insight into the Colorado Buffaloes’ cafeteria by interviewing chef Carl Solomon, as a means to shine the spotlight on him for his efforts to take care of the football players and feed them well.

Neely was seen asking Solomon about the different utilities that he had planned for the players. The head chef listed out the specialties of the kitchen and went on to talk about the customized burger stand that they have, which, according to Neely, makes the “best burgers.” This sort of promotion of the chefs in the program will lead to a lot more interest from recruits, and that’s something at which Deion already excels. With that being said, here’s another recruiting tactic that Deion uses, which is highly unusual, to say the very least.

Deion chooses not to opt for the conventional way of recruitment

The Colorado Buffaloes have thrived under Deion Sanders as he’s pulled in some fantastic prospects like Jordan Seaton and Cormani McClain. What’s interesting is that he never had to step foot outside the campus in Boulder to achieve all this. Players would be drawn to Coach Prime like moths to a flame, and it has worked for them so far.

Deion has made no off-campus contacts with players ever since his hiring in December 2022. To put things in perspective, Jim Harbaugh made over 145 off-campus visits in the entirety of his time with the Michigan Wolverines. Moreover, the university has given Deion an annual budget of $200,00 to use private air travel for recruitment. Funnily enough, Deion has managed to redefine the squad massively without ever having to spend much of that on travel.
