The Sanders brothers are at the epitome of their careers at the moment, but since Bucky isn’t really a football player, he became a victim of his father’s leg-pulling. Though the eldest Sanders brother has different talents than Shedeur and Shilo, Deion made sure to point out that he isn’t very athletic.
Deion Sanders Jr., aka Bucky, is the founder of Well Off Media brand, which manages the PR and publicity of the Colorado Buffaloes. Additionally, he gives the Buffs fans more to chew on by releasing footage from his interactions with the family and deeper insights into the team’s performance. Yet, it seems like Deion likes to remind Bucky from time to time that he’s not a football player, unlike him and his brothers.

On 27th July, Deion took to Instagram to share a video of him and his sons all being together and doing a little bit of buffoonery with each other. After which, Bucky was hit with a burn from his father when Deion brought up the fact that he isn’t very athletic and gets all the hate for it and yet, remains unaffected. Deion was heard saying, “Right Junior? He’s got 2 horses, and they back sunked in!” The Colorado HC meant to say that even though Bucky possesses an athletic body, he is far from being a good runner or being sporty. While everyone had their share of laughs, including Bucky himself, Deion later took to the comments to assure the fans that he used to be a good football player during his high school days. His comment read, “I love my Junior. Played for me in Highschool and played good for us. 💯” With that being said, let’s actually take a look at Bucky’s football career, which was eventually cut short.

Have an interesting take?
It’s well known that Bucky did try out his hand at being a football legend like his dad, but soon after realized that his true talents lay in being a businessman. Additionally, he found his calling when he launched his YouTube career in 2018 and came to the consensus that he prefers being behind the camera rather than in front of it. He should rightly be credited for the majority of the influence that the Colorado Buffaloes and Coach Prime have today, but there was a time when Bucky loved football despite his shortcomings.
Bucky had a three-year career with the SMU Mustangs and had the best season during his sophomore year in 2014. He played in 10 games and totaled 23 receptions for 188 yards. Additionally, he had a season-best seven catches for 57 yards against USF, which eventually earned him the honor of being selected as Second Team All-American Conference as a kick returner. He had his last season with the Mustangs in 2015 before he went to pursue a career of content creation. In 2015, he played in a total of 8 games and had 15 kickoffs for 372 yards, which was the second-most returned kickoff yards on the team. Bucky bid adieu to his hopes of becoming a football pro a long time ago, but eventually figured out his true talents, and his father couldn’t be prouder of him.
