Deion Sanders has adopted a forgiving stance. After facing a lot of opinions and controversies regarding former players Xavier Smith, Cormani McClain, and Gavin Kuld’s comments in the transfer portal, Sanders barely has the energy left to prove himself to the naysayers. Therefore, when Deion Sanders Jr. took a leaf out of forgiveness, Coach Prime could not help but chime in with his son.
It was yesterday when Miss Peggy Coppom pleaded to Shedeur Sanders’ potential replacement quarterback Julian ‘Juju’ Lewis to join CU for the 2025 season. However, such a heartwarming message took an unexpected turn, when On3’s host and producer Josh Newberg, not knowing of the existence of a 99-year-old super fan in Colorado, quickly took a jab at Miss Peggy’s message as his tweet read, “When did KarenKeyLargo become a CU Buffs fan?” followed by “Ya’ll need to bring Karen in for an official visit. She needs a new team,” mocking her enthusiasm.
God bless them all. 🙏🏾🙏🏾 https://t.co/rEzOj7TTph

Deion Sanders Jr. came across the comment and felt compelled to correct Newberg. Resharing the post he tweeted:
“Never question greatness. She’s actually CU royalty,” with an underlying arrogance in his tone, as he backed Miss Peggy. However, realizing forgiveness speaks louder than defense, he later added another tweet, writing, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” Coach Prime, inspired by his son’s take, joined in, writing “God bless them all,” reinforcing a message of forgiveness instead of involving in further verbal altercations.Just like us, Coach Prime & Co. knows first-hand that hateful comments and natural disasters are two things that cannot be controlled. So, there could not be a better way to deal with them. For now, it is better to shift our focus to Juju Lewis, as the Buff Nation is eagerly anticipating his potential commitment to Colorado to replace Shedeur in the 2025 season.

Is Lеwis committing to Colorado?
Deion Sanders has been eyeing this 5-star freshman quarterback for a long time now. Since Lewis has expressed he is considering options beyond USC, Colorado has emerged as a top contender for him. To be honest, we can’t blame Coach Prime, as Lewis’ high school career stats speak volumes, according to MaxPreps.com— including 7,212 yards, 96 touchdown passes, an average of 257.6 yards per game, 469 completions out of 712 attempts, and 14 interceptions.

His interest in Deion Sanders’ program is particularly evident, having visited Coach Prime and his team three times, once accompanied by his father, who has been his coach since childhood. Moreover, Lewis, taking his father to meet Prime, underscores the significance of the visit. “Thanks for always caring about what’s best for me,” Lewis captioned a picture of his father deep in conversation with Sanders.
Speaking about Colorado, the Carrollton High School star remarked, “Coach Prime is super positive and motivating. Talking to Coach Shurmur and Shedeur, they want me to make the best decision for me but made it clear that I have the opportunity to play early.” Lewis’ comments reflect his enthusiasm for joining the Buffs. As far as commitment goes, we will just have to buckle up and see how this unfolds.
