Colorado has an eye on enticing 5-star QB Julian Lewis into its fold. The program’s strategies received a boost when the highly sought-after player visited Boulder. Despite Lewis’ commitment to USC, the Buffs are encountering significant signs that he might change his mind and join Colorado. But will he really become a Buff?

It’s easy for Julian Lewis to get the most attention during this official visit. But he’s not the only talent visiting Boulder. Another star prospect is 4-star OT Chauncey Gooden, who will soon announce whether Colorado has impressed him enough to commit.

Chauncey Gooden is a 6″4′, 290-pounder from Nashville who made an official visit with the Clemson Tigers on May 31. According to what Sko Buffs posted on X, “Chauncey Gooden is making a Big Announcement Tomorrow.” And Buffs fans are hopeful the announcement would be good news.

The Lipscomb Academy HS standout became quite a hero during the Nashville Under Armour camp in April. Gooden was named the 247Sports Alpha Dog, and the sports outlet put him on the pedestal, saying that he was “incredible all day long.” From individual drills to one-on-one performances, Gooden shone like a star. 247Sports said of him, “Gooden didn’t lose a rep and was dominant while competing. There were a few others in contention for this honor, but it was a unanimous decision by the 246Sports crew that the 2025 prospect was more than deserving of top honor.” If Colorado is able to land an offensive weapon like him, this season could differ greatly from 2023. But what about Julian Lewis? Is his interest in Colorado?

Colorado’s primary target, Julian Lewis, is also in Boulder after a long wait and endless “WeWantJuJu” chants. But it looks like there’s hope because of some positive instances of the 5-star QB copying Coach Prime’s style. In his Instagram post, the Carrollton HS star posted a photo with Shedeur Sanders, who appeared to be handing Lewis a key. He captioned the post “Perfect Timing” followed by an alarm clock and googly eyes emojis.

However, the next photo is almost like a recreation of Deion Sanders’ classic San Francisco 49ers jersey layout as he was preparing for the Super Bowl. In Lewis’ post, he also laid out the Buffs uniform on the floor in a complete layout as he posed for the camera. Could this little action mean more than just a stark coincidence or imitation?
