Is Coach Prime making the right call by eyeing a four-star safety to replace Shilo Sanders?

Now that Deion Sanders has found the perfect replacement for his son Shedeur, the Buffs head coach can focus on his other son, Shilo.

Like Shedeur, Shilo will follow in his brother’s footsteps and board the NFL ship. To hunt down the safety’s stand-in, the concerned father focuses on the former NFL CB, Fred Thomas’ gifted heir, his son Jhase Thomas. While Jhase’s commitment is still uncertain, something big awaits Deion’s Buffs on July 13. It’s time to roll out the red carpet for four-star WR Quanell X Farrakhan Jr.

Since Colorado is nearing the end of the Julian “Ju Ju” Lewis recruitment saga, DNVR Sports, on July 13, aired its latest episode, hinting at everything new in Boulder. And guess what? Deion will no longer have to return to any empty nest as he has found Shilo’s fill-in, Jhase. The “Jhase chase” has been on for over a year now. And the perseverance seems to have finally paid off! If the Louisiana product commits to Colorado, it will be an absolute WIN-WIN situation for Deion. Wondering why? As Scott Procter pointed out, “Jhase Thomas, a safety also in the class of 2025 is one of the highest Rising prospects out of Louisiana in that class. He’s also announcing his commitment tomorrow.”

In Jhase’s case, it’s a bonus since he played safety defensive back for a year. He has also served as a former receiver and tight end while his USP is his incredible ball skills. But out of all this, what succeeded in wooing Coach Prime? His numbers are not alluring as, according to 247 Sports, he is 531st overall and 46th ranked safety. It’s Jhase carrying Fred’s legacy. “His dad was NFL Pro 10 to 12 years I think in the NFL as a cornerback. So he has that pedigree. I’m sure Coach Prime likes that,” Procter said. Ever after Jhase, Deion’s Colorado will still have something interesting to look up to.

Farrakhan Jr. aims to make a strong impact as he joins Deion’s Colorado team

After Ju Ju’s big weekend in Boulder, the Houston (Texas) North Shore four-star receiver Quanell X Farrakhan Jr. landed in the CU camp. Farrakhan Jr. was one of several premiere recruits who visited Boulder in the second-to-last weekend of June. And right after his visit, the four-star recruit shared his experience with the Buffs fans. “I loved it in Colorado. They made me feel like I was at home and I believe that they could get me to the next level,” shared Farrakhan Jr. with Steve Wiltfong.

According to On3, the 5-foot-11.5, 175-pound wide receiver holds the 40th rank as WR and the No. 276 overall prospect in his class. The Texas standout wide receiver leaves no stone unturned to elevate his game. He was spotted training with NFL All-Pro Tyreek Hill of the Miami Dolphins.
