All this started with the latest recruitment of Chaney Jr. The Florida star announced his commitment on X enthusiastically posting, “Lets Work”. It has been long since the 6-foo-2, 235-pound senior was under the Colorado radar. With only a year of eligibility remaining, the linebacker earned second-team All-Southwestern Athletic Conference honors last season. Besides, it was Chaney Jr. who propelled FAMU to 12-1 with a SWAC title that came with a victory in the Celebration Bowl. While Sanders showed his happiness about his latest possession, somewhere deep down he is grappling with safeguarding his honor.

Allegations brought against Sanders

Charges have been brought by both cornerback McClain and Smith that somewhere they felt that their efforts went unappreciated by the Sanders. Analyst Kevin Borba on Locked on Buffs delved deep into the impact of these accusations on the Buffs HC’s coaching style. On the show, Borba called out Sanders’ actions, “It seemed like he was making fun of him it seemed like he was mocking his stats and it seemed like he was kind of shooting down the player.”

This was the reference to Coach Prime’s tweet as he shared the stats of the defensive back, Jaheim Ward with the caption, “Laws Jesus”. Based on this, Borba pointed out the coach’s p “double standards’ as he revealed, “He always talks about wanting to propel guys, young athletes to the next level he always talks about supporting them so when there’s a tweet, and it’s his kind of looking like he’s making fun of a young athlete who probably looks up to him or looked up to him at one point… it kind of a lot of people were like what the what is wrong.”

On another occasion, Deion Sanders openly supported Shedeur as the quarterback claimed Smith was a mediocre player having no importance in the Buffs roster. Hence, while he as the coach is the flagbearer of the Buffs’ legacy, the players will look up to him. However, Coach Prime is not willing to spare a moment to think about these charges brought against him and focuses on welcoming new recruits to the Boulder shelter.
