As Brett McMurphy has reported on X, Colorado’s QCA, Pat Shurmur will be taking over the play-calling duties from the offensive coordinator Sean Lewis for the rest of the season. Shurmur will be starting from the game against Oregon State on November 4, 2023. However, Coach Prime will have to promote Shurmur to a full-time coach so he can fulfill his duties as a coach.

The offensive coordinator, Sean Lewis, will signal the plays in, but unfortunately, another assistant will have to be demoted to make room for Shurmur. This decision has been made to bring significant positive in the Buffaloes’ performance since they have already lost 4 of the last 5 matches they played. And promoting Shurmur might just be one of the best decisions Sanders has made.
