Coach Prime is back in the spotlight, this time defending his quarterback son, Shedeur Sanders. The QB recently found himself embroiled in online controversy after a practice session video went viral.

The drama unfolded during the Sanders family’s Miami vacation. Shedeur, seeking extra reps on the Fourth of July weekend, joined a practice with other quarterbacks. Things got heated when Miami Hurricanes QB Cam Ward criticized Shedeur’s performance. Shedeur initially poked Ward for coming late to the practice. Soon, Ward, in a seemingly playful but harsh tone, said: “Don’t bs… I might be the reason we got late, but I got better!”

Well Off Media initially posted the entire practice session, but an X account shared a clipped version focusing on the exchange between Ward and Shedeur. However, another X page called Select Qb Athletics quickly debunked this narrative. It clarified that “Cam had mandatory school workouts, then drove 40 mins to meet us to workout again. Everybody else in this video is on break, said he was late because we had to wait on him to finish up and get out to where we were. Everything said in this video is how we joke w/each other daily!” Even Coach Prime and his eldest son, Deion Sanders Jr., jumped in to clear the air as both reposted the explanation.

The QBs can enjoy a fun conversation just between them. Shedeur, in contrast, is increasingly involved in online trouble, indicating a need for a support system to guide him through his difficult moments. Coach Prime addresses the Jaxson Dart online feud, causing speculation.

Coach Prime may face challenges due to Shedeur Sanders’ online conflicts

Shedeur Sanders seems to be developing a taste for online skirmishes. Just days before his “playful” exchange with Cam Ward, Shedeur was involved in another social media dust-up. This time, it happened at the Manning Passing Camp. Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart threw a less-than-perfect pass, and Oklahoma defensive back Billy Bowman took a jab by retweeting it with the comment, “Pick six.” This denotes a situation where the defense can easily intercept the pass and score a touchdown. Dart responded sarcastically, “Yeah okay buddy, we gon see.”

What’s your perspective on:

Does Shedeur Sanders need his dad to fight his battles, or can he handle it himself?

Have an interesting take?

Soon, a Colorado fan account criticized Dart, suggesting a leader shouldn’t engage in online spats. However, Shedeur added fuel to the fire by replying with a laughing emoji, seemingly endorsing Dart’s criticism.

Even though Shedeur didn’t directly insult anyone, his laugh emoji suggests he enjoys these online arguments. This could be a problem, especially when Shedeur enters the NFL draft. Thus, Coach Prime might have his hands full dealing with this.
