The Alabama Crimson Tide have barreling towards a new era ever since the departure of Nick Saban and, at the reins of it all, is Kalen DeBoer. A popular notion that has enveloped the college football world is that DeBoer isn’t too good at recruitment, but he looks to be proving everyone wrong with the newest addition to Alabama.

Kalen DeBoer, the newest HC for the Alabama Crimson Tide, rides a wave of expectations since the fans expect a Saban-like string of success from him. Though it’s only been 6 months since DeBoer has taken over, he’s already bringing in notable prospects like Rylon Dillard-Allen from Arizona State, despite what the fans say about his recruitment skills. Next, Hayes went on to list all the stats of Michael Carol, indicating the power move that DeBoer has made to improve the team’s overall performance. But that’s not all. The star of the Washington Huskies last season, showed up in Tuscaloosa, solely to help his former coach out with bringing in new players to Alabama. Penix and DeBoer spent two years together at Washington, where he was HC and the same place, where the QB saw the heights of his success.

Though Penix is with the Atlanta Falcons now, he didn’t hesitate to show up to support his former coach, which just shows a great dynamic between the two. Penix was seen taking pictures with a few players and promoting the Alabama program, which will definitely raise interest in the potential prospects that the team has yet to land. Thus, DeBoer seems to have all the help he needs in making sure the recruitment process is top-notch and is certainly contradicting the fans’ alleged claims of his incompetence.
