Deion Sanders is truly the ‘Transfer Portal King’. Not only because he secured the top national recruits for the second consecutive time, with Colorado Buffs ranked #1 in the transfer portal, but also because he fosters the talents to be some of the best in the nation. Buffs QB Shedeur Sanders, for instance, amassed the most passing yards in a single season.
While five-star recruits like OT Jordan Seaton await their chance to drop a ravishing performance on the field, transfers like Chidozie Nwankwo can’t curb their excitement to meet the staff at Buffs, who made the Colorado Buffs a sensation.

The Houston Cougars lost their defensive lineman to the Colorado Buffs as Nwankwo committed to Deion Sanders and Co. last week. The LB is relatively thrilled to be playing for the Buffs, about which he spoke about in a recent interview with Brain Howell. Speaking about his anticipation of meeting his new defensive tackle coach, Sal Sunseri, the Buffs LB transfer mentioned the time he could not meet him.
“When I went down on my visit, they said he just had surgery on his shoulder or something like that. So I didn’t get the chance to meet him, but I’m excited to meet him as well,” said Nwankwo. Showing how fueled he was to train with him, the LB also mentioned the top qualities of Sunseri. “He’s been coaching a long time,” commented Nwankwo. Further talking about his coaching style, he said, “He’s a very non-nonsense guy, very old school coach.”
Sunseri’s old-school coaching style can be betted upon, given his extensive coaching record with top teams across the NFL and NCAA, even being the head coach of Pittsburgh Steelers in the 1992 season, guiding the legendary Terry Bradshaw. Any player would be more than thrilled to train with Sunseri. Especially when it’s a highly potential player like Nwankwo.
