Are the top-rated players of the NCAA and their tantrums messing with the fun of the NFL Combine? The fans believe that this sudden trend of opting out of the combine is going to ruin the enthusiasm around the major event since the best players won’t even perform. Though these same players end up performing at their respective Pro Days, it’s just not the same as the historical Combine.
A lot of players are opting out of drills and medical evaluations. With the likes of Malik Nabers and Jayden Daniels even opting out of getting measurements, more and more top-rated Draft prospects are choosing to be picky with what they engage with in the Combine. While all of these players will still choose to sit and interview with teams, they won’t undergo any physical activity. Which begs the question, if you think you’re the best, wouldn’t you rather show it?
