Being in his junior year and having some of the best statistics across the NCAA is an achievement enough. But it sure isn’t enough for the Wolverines QB JJ McCarthy as the guy has another ton. As the Wolverines get ready to give their toughest test of the season yet against the SEC champions Alabama Crimson Tide, the QB is aiming for something more, something on a personal level which he will achieve along the way.

Until last year, the title of the best QB in college football rested with CJ Stroud. The consecutive two-time Heisman Trophy finalist in 2021 and 2022. He had a dominating grip on college football, which now extends to the Texans. In a nutshell, the former Ohio State QB has some pretty decent statistics.

Will JJ McCarthy overtake Stroud?

Stroud’s completion percentage throughout the years was 68.1% whereas that of Stroud’s was 69.3%. Not to mention the multiple times through 2022 that these two have shared the top spots in the leaderboard of the best QBs across the nation.
