With the draft day just around the corner, Caleb Williams is ready to ride on the mighty waves it generates. The early murmurs of him being the touted No. 1 pick in the 2024 class started right when the NFL draft started being the talk of the town. His landing spot, which is talked about just as much, is speculated to be the Chicago Bears. Until recently, rumors of the Bears being a not-so-good pick for Caleb Williams and the mock drafts claiming the Bears would rather draft Rome Dounze emerged.

Williams fans were shocked, to say the least. However, he still has core supporters and one such fan is HS High School’s head coach James Fox. Advocating for Caleb Williams falling in Chicago, Fox tweeted, “April 25 is Caleb Williams’ day in Chicago.”  25 April, the first day of the NFL draft, will mark the commencement of Caleb Williams’ era in the NFL, most likely with the Chicago Bears, if the Bears make that choice.

Randy Trivers, Caleb Williams’ high school coach from Gonzaga High School, too, could not stop taking pride in his abilities on the Parkins & Spiegel show. The LSU QB’s mental endurance is something he was in a lot of talks for, and after LSU’s loss last season, this was the first quality that Trivers addressed.

“You don’t know how he’s going to respond in competitive situations at the next level,” Trivers said. Williams crying in front of the camera while hugging his mother was also one of those reactions. However, Williams has his positive game moments defending him here. With all said and done, fans witnessed the best display of Williams’ mental endurance most recently when he was bombarded with criticism from most directions for his bold choices.

Caleb Williams unapologetically claps back at ESPN analyst

Pink nails, a pink phone case, and pink lip gloss were something the NFL world was not happy to see on Caleb Williams. Well, at least some from the NFL world were not ready to see. Caleb Williams, however, was not bothered by the hate. The QB hardly reacted to any comment no matter how brutal it might be.

However, what irked him was former Alabama QB and ESPN analyst, George McElroy raising a question about all the hard work he had put in through the years. “Caleb Williams has never faced adversity,” he said.

Williams has expressed his nature of being open to criticism. A direct jibe at his struggles, however, was not something he was going to sit and tolerate. “Let’s go back to school again,” Williams stated as he was teaching McElroy to analyze the basics by listing out three adversities he faced in LSU in his tweet.
