However, talking to Williams, as informed by Breer, the close source got to know the real deal behind the quarterback’s pass. Williams was on the field with his fellow Trojan star, Brenden Rice. As the analyst quotes the source, “I thought he was going to get tackled at seven or eight so we wouldn’t pick up the first down so in my head I was thinking I had a better chance of moving the sticks if I scrambled.”

So it is impossible for people who are not on the field at the moment to comprehend Williams’ pass as the source revealed, “I saw the opportunity to pick up the yardage on the ground and so I did it and so somebody who’s just watching video looks at it and says well he passed up the easy throw.” Even though the quarterback faced criticism for not implementing long throws, his USC pro day has been a great success.

Williams and his throwing talent

Williams succeeded in playing his talents in front of the representatives of all 32 NFL teams in attendance at the pro day. The 2022 Heisman Trophy winner tried his hands for the first time throwing the ball, which he has not done since the 2023 college football season ended.

Along with this, throughout Williams’ 50 or so pass attempts, his timing and accuracy impressed the NFL scouts with their effortlessness. As he went on throwing across the field, only four balls hit the ground. However, he fits into the upper echelon of arm strength at the quarterback position. As a result of this, his throws possess tremendous velocity.
