Coach Prime’s reputation for inspiring and motivating those around him continues to shine. It’s quite known that he isn’t just focused on making his CU Buffs great players; he wants them to be great people too. However, a recent viral video stands as a testament to this statement.

Deion Sanders was spotted showing some kindness to an NBA star’s son in Boulder. The NBA star even shared the touching moment between his cornerback son and the legendary cornerback himself. It looks like the three-time slam dunk champion who is facing a serious medical challenge got emotional watching Coach Prime show kindness to his son.

Former NBA star Nate Robinson shared a heartfelt video on social media, stating, “Brings tears to my eyes of joy watching my son and my favorite football player share a moment. Thanks, Coach Prime, for helping turn my baby boy into a man/Dawg.”

Now all Coach Prime did was to greet the kid with a “How you doing?” The kid replied, “I’m good. How are you?” Sensing something was off, Coach Prime dug deeper with “You know what I mean, how you doing?”  He stressed those words, showing he understands the challenges the young CB faces in his family.

Thus he followed up with, “If you need us, let me know alright? I’m proud of you, boy.” This 20-second conversation not only shows how much Coach Prime cares about his players but also how much he knows each and everyone on his team. No wonder the internet loves it. 

Deion’s support comes while Nate Robinson searches for a kidney donor

Nahmier Robinson, a redshirt freshman cornerback for the Colorado Buffaloes, is finding support in Coach Deion Sanders during a difficult time. Nahmier’s father, veteran NBA player Nate Robinson, is facing serious health challenges and needs a kidney transplant.  A few years ago, Nate revealed he suffered renal failure due to high blood pressure.  Recently, he shared his health update stating, “I know that I don’t have long if I can’t get a kidney.” His words went viral and it even caught the attention of Coach Prime. 

While Nate undergoes dialysis and desperately searches for a donor, Coach Prime is offering much-needed support and comfort to his son in Boulder. The coach is going the extra mile to make sure Nahmier feels supported as he balances football with his family’s situation.
