Colorado Buffaloes have seemingly rolled out the red carpet for Julian Lewis. Deion Sanders’ program is hosting their favorite JuJu — a USC commit — this weekend. Coach Prime initially relied on 99-year-old Peggy Coppom, the oldest fan, to impress the five-star quarterback, and now Laura Levy, another loyal Buffs fan, will take her turn.

Levy went that extra mile and started campaigning at the very dawn of June 21, Friday. However, the question remains: why is Sanders putting so much effort into running after Lewis? Isn’t the charm of the Buffaloes and their prince (read: Shedeur) enough to bewitch JuJu and lure him away from USC?

Levy’s early morning rally cry

The people of Boulder have been waiting with bated breath for June 21 to arrive. And yes, the D-Day is here. Colorado is home to some die-hard JuJu supporters, it seems. One of them is Levy, the official realtor of Colorado Buffaloes, who also happens to be a Coldwell Banker Realty Individual Agent. At the break of dawn, she took to X to start campaigning for Lewis. A part of her post read, “GOOD MORNING!!! Big weekend in Boulder!  Let’s go! #WEWANTJUJU”  Her post was no less than a cry to awaken the people of Boulder for the big day.

To make themselves stand out in the JuJu race, she took the welcoming event a notch higher. Besides the picture of Lewis that Levy shared, what instantly caught the attention was the poster, which read, “WELCOME HOME JUJU Boulder welcomes QB Julian Lewis.” Written in yellow-colored font against the picturesque backdrop of Boulder with the two hashtags “#WeWantJuju” and “#MakeHistory,” the poster holds the potential to melt Lewis’ heart, promising the Trojans-commit a home-like feel. But amidst Levy’s grandeur, let’s not forget Coppom’s efforts.

Peggy draws the emotional string for Lewis

Peggy, who is 99 years old, is the flag bearer of the true-hearted Buffs tribe. Deion promised to take her to the Super Bowl to honor her dedication. While the promise is yet to come true, Coach Prime has asked for a little favor from the longest-standing Buffs enthusiast. He had employed Coppom to perform one big task of emotionally stirring Lewis.

She filmed a video rooting for JuJu where Coppom comes with a bold statement, “Juju I have been cheering for this Colorado Buffs team for 84 years and I’m getting tired of being a good loser. I would love to be a good winner. So come on out here and play for us and help us win.” But why does Sanders seek the help of CU’s Royal Lady to make the QB inclined toward the Buff? It seems that these campaigns will only add up to the strength of the Buffaloes.

Deion Sanders is a brand in himself, and since Lewis will take up Shedeur’s place, he is believed to be the center of attention in the social media craze surrounding the Buffs QB sensation. However, nothing can be predicted until the final verdict. Hence, all eyes are on this weekend.
