The Prime Time brand might be bigger than the sport he endorses. Deion Sanders houses a persona that goes beyond his multi-sport star identity and touches upon that of an equally successful college football coach, an incredible pitchman, and a popular television personality. He has been part of mainstream popular culture for 35 years. That too, in ways that extended his appearance in popular brand campaigns including Pizza Hut, Pepsi, and Nike commercials in the early 1990s, making appearances in rap videos and his own reality show, and even hosting a Miss USA pageant.

Sanders, in one way or another, has been a persistent presence in American lives for decades. As suggested by actor-turned-politician Arnold Schwarzenegger, with a personality as gravitating as his, he might also be an ideal fit for an alternative career path.

Coach Prime has been anything but soft with his band of college boys. Within less than a year of assuming leadership, he was not only able to turn over an 11-1 team to a 3-2 team but also turn the Colorado Buffaloes into a national spectacle. Previously, he could oversee such a miracle with Jackson State University and people can not help but imagine what a wave of change he might bring on a national scale if he were to assume a political office.
