It was just hours before that Ryan Garcia received an invitation to become a part of the Colorado Buffs. Hardly anyone, let alone Deion Sanders, expected Garcia to act upon the invitation so quickly. “We gotta get you in some cleats with that footwork,” Shilo Sanders captioned in his Instagram post with Garcia, where they were sparring with each other.
The Buffs safety was impressed with Garcia’s slither footwork during the session, prompting him to playfully think of him as a great addition to the Buffs roster.
Swapping the gloves for the cleats was something no one expected Ryan Garcia to do, especially after he had just come off a massive win against the WBC light welterweight champion Devin Haney. But he did. Garcia made a tweet saying, “Getting signed to Colorado I’m eligible. Pretty cool. Let’s see if I pull this off. LETS GO.” No one knows whether it was a playful reply to Shilo’s post or a ‘No, I’m not kidding,’ message for Deion Sanders and Co.

The latter one would seem an option that fans, or rather anyone would scoff at. But not in the case of Garcia, especially not when he had just pulled a major bluffing stunt this past month for his fight against Haney. Ryan Garcia’s behavior confused everyone during the time leading up to his clash against Devin Haney. “He convinced many people that he seemed to have lost his mind,” Marca reported, later adding, “but it turns out it was all supposedly an act.”
Whether his antics were to distract Haney from the fight or for something else, they sure were weird. So the real question here is: Is this again some bluffing tactic that Garcia is pulling? Only time will tell. What they do know is Coach Prime and the Buffs players loved having Ryan Garcia on the Folsom Field after Spring games.

After he attended the CU Spring game, Garcia paid a special visit to the stars of the show, Deion Sanders and his star players. His first visit was to Deion Sanders clad in a customised black and gold uniform. Seems that wearing that uniform was something that got him into the Buffs’ spirit so much that he decided to become a Buff himself.
Later, he met with Shilo Sanders and two-way star Travis Hunter as well, having some fun conversations and sparring sessions. While Deion Sanders and the two players loved the company of the boxer, actually having him on his roster might elicit some different reactions from them. What do you think about this?
