WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg has much to appreciate about Deion Sanders. The pair had been teammates in the NFL when Goldberg joined the Atlanta Falcons for two seasons. After playing together in Atlanta, Goldberg has learned that his fellow teammate is a wonderful person on and off the field.
According to Goldberg, Deion Sanders gave him the zeal to pursue a wrestling career. He said, “I guess I have to give him 100 percent credit for me being a professional wrestler. Cause I never would have done it.” The story is that the Falcons used to have locker room wrestling matches on Fridays where Coach Prime would always call him to the ring. He soon transitioned to professional wrestling three years after retiring from the NFL and joined the WCW in 1997.

Coach Prime recently uploaded an excerpt of the CU Buffs Memorial Day Cookout adventure with Goldberg and his son Gage Goldberg on Instagram with the caption, “My great friend.” And it is with a calm and content heart that he’s giving his son to Coach Prime’s care. He said with utmost respect about Deion Sanders, “I love him like my brother. And now he’s taking care of my boy. There’s no other defining way that I can describe it except the fact that my son is going to school under Deion Sanders. And I couldn’t be more appreciative and blessed because this is one of the best human beings that God ever built.”

This comes long after Gage Goldberg’s commitment to join Deion Sanders and the Buffs on January 14. Gage initially intended to sign with Alabama, but Nick Saban’s sudden retirement landed him in Colorado with his father’s old partner and friend. The 17-year-old LB is a first-team all-district 12-5A player at Boerne Champion High School in Texas and will likely join the Buffs as a PWO. Perhaps it’s Deion Sanders’ belief in himself and his players that wins the hearts of parents.

Deion Sanders may have won the hearts of the Goldberg family, but there are still so many naysayers trying to drag him down. He recently took to his IG to address the critics, reminding them that his positivity and faith are unwavering. He said, “There’s two words I’ve always heard along to ever since I was a shorty growing up in Fort Myers, Florida. ‘I believe.’… I’ve been believing for a long time.“
