Michigan is having a showdown which will be remembered by posterity at the Pasadena Stadium. The ebbs and flows are keeping the audience at the edge of their seats, especially in the overtime. The star running-back Blake Corum once again won Michigan’s hearts by saving the squad’s reputation against the fast-paced Alabama.

Alabama almost had it in the fourth quarter, when McCarthy’s 4-yard pass from Roman Wilson tuned the team the same as their opponents, sending them into overtime. The overtime was no less of a roller coaster, and the star of it, as well as the game, was none other than Blake Corum.

Blake Corum made a 17-yard run from punter James Turner’s kick, adding 7 vital points to Michigan’s scorecards. Following this, Alabama called for a timeout. Saban gave his team the pep talk they needed and sent Jalen Milroe out to conquer the day. Looking at the results, it wasn’t Milroe’s day. He missed a catch from the center in the second quarter, and could not make a successful pass in overtime.

Meanwhile, Corum not only wrote the NCAA history by breaking Michigan’s streak of losing the post-season Bowl games since 2016. But, he also rewrote Michigan’s franchise history. The RB’s run broke Michigan’s all-time rushing TD record. Previously, Anthony Thomas held the franchise record of 55 rushing touchdowns.

However, with today’s 17-yard TD, Corum recorded the 56th rushing touchdown of his career, breaking Thomas’s record. With these dashing traits as a varsity player, Corum has some thoroughly promising prospects ahead of him in the upcoming NFL this season.

Corum amassed 1,028 yards and a remarkable 24 rushing touchdowns, without a single loss, something that might make him the first RB to go off-charts in the 2024 NFL draft. Not to mention his touchdown sending his team straight to the National Championship would always be the highlight of his resume.
