Bishop Thomas’ stint with the Colorado football team seems to have come to an abrupt halt. Reports indicate that Thomas, the defensive lineman, has been absent from team activities since the spring semester began and is unlikely to compete with the Buffaloes in 2024. Adding fuel to the fire, Thomas recently posted an Instagram story featuring himself in a Colorado Buffaloes uniform with the caption, “Stick to it. Stand on it.” This cryptic message seems to hint at his current situation and his possible firm stance on it. Now, as speculation mounts about Thomas’ future with the team, fans are eager for official clarity. Many are hopeful that Thomas will return to the roster, ready to contribute significantly on the field. However, Colorado and Sanders are moving on from Bishop Thomas.

A promising start followed by uncertainty

Last year, Coach Prime recruited Bishop Thomas through the transfer portal. Since then, the three-star prospect from Florida has played a total of 123 snaps in nine games for the Buffs, recording 117 defensive snaps and making six tackles (two for loss). He memorably took the field as a fullback in Colorado’s season opener against TCU. However, the season ended with an indefinite suspension for violating team rules.

With a towering height of 6’2 and weighing 305 pounds, Prime could potentially utilize Thomas’ large size in his defensive tactics.
