Saban’s exit from Alabama caused several players to call it quits on the team including Downs

The legacy of Nick Saban will not be met with generations of coaches yet to come. From his signing in 2007 to his retirement in 2023, Saban’s Alabama demolished the league for almost a straight decade. The 72-year-old coach won national titles for the team in the years of 2009, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2017, 2020. Now with his retirement, the players have lost one of their best incentives to stay within the team.
