Sanders with what he has done for the side this year, is nothing short of an achievement. But for Buffs their good luck might be running out as they just lost against UCLA Bruins. It was another heartbreak (they’re having way too many this season!) where they lost two games in a row again. Sanders is having a hard time in the second half of the competition and losing out on important games. There’s not even a silver lining in sight that might take Buffs back to their absolute best. Should I say that CU buffs are out of the NCAA competition or do they have in them to come back?

Within a couple of weeks, the world turned upside down for the Buffs. Their confidence was shaken and the side was stunned after two humiliating defeats. It impacted the team’s psyche so much that even the buoyant Prime Time turned a sage in the pressers.

First Oregon completely owned the team with its 42-6 dominant win. It was not only a victory but a dent in Buffs’ hearts and aspirations. This was followed by a consecutive defeat as the side clashed with the USC Trojans. It was touted as the battle of the best QBs ever in rookie football history. Caleb Williams went head-to-head with Shedeur Sanders. Williams and Co. spoiled the Sanders party as the Trojans reigned supreme! The Colorado had another win before going back to the default!

October shows no mercy on Buffs

The side had a fairly relaxed October month with just three games spread over the entire month. It was supposed to be ending in more wins. However, fate had other plans as the Buffs wouldn’t have imagined another two losses.

Deion Sanders, was crestfallen. He was truly upset and disturbed, as was the side’s morale. He tried and tried to boost the confidence and inject some form of motivation. But Coach Prime is hitting a wall! These were desperate times and the Buffs were receiving backslash! Former players were venting out their frustrations. While the pundits and analysts tore apart Buffs’ arrogance.

Even Sanders admitted that his side didn’t love football enough! He came up with 10 rules for his side to follow in the bye-week. He gave his all to keep the momentum going but there was a lack of conviction. A week went by and there was another chance to redeem the long-lost self-belief. It was the ultimate clash between two teams who were eyeing a victory.

Did the Colorado try for a victory? In all honesty, they did. Buffs came quite close to the win, as they’ve on several occasions but just couldn’t keep up! Shedeur, Deion’s son kept taking the hits time and again! True, his body is strong and his muscles are fresh. But the 20-year-old is copping a lot on his plate. If rushing yards for every game is seen. Sanders is averaging 150 yards every game. Add to it the body blows and the fatigue. I’d be needing more than an ice bath to be 100% ready before a game.

Yes, there are a few positive takeaways here and there. But, collectively the team isn’t performing. The hunger and passion shown in the three opening games seem to be missing. While the HC Deion never runs out of juice, his side looks spent. Their body language just isn’t good enough! I love Deion Sanders, I do but he needs to weave some of his magic into the team. If the Buffs want to walk away with a playoff berth, they must find a way to end up victorious in the remaining fixtures.
