Deion Sanders has done a lot of things in his career, right from getting enshrined as the Hall of Famer to being one of the most popular head coaches in the CFB. The more talked about ones, at least. The next stop for Sanders is being a formidable force in the new conference CU is about to enter: the Big 12. Their previous 4–8 records won’t help much in that regard. What will, however, was revealed by Uncle Nelly on his podcast with The Pregame Network.

“You cannot forget his 14 years as a broadcaster and journalist. We’re barely scratching the surface of this thing now,” Uncle Nelly said. Deion Sanders’ decorated resume with the NFL Network gives him the perfect edge over his competitors to connect with audiences. His high level of interpersonal skills throughout his years as an interviewer and analyst aid Sanders with the insight to connect more with his fans, which is also the reason why he boasts such a huge fanbase.

“So even when you follow his Instagram page, he understands how to get the attention and to keep that attention,” Nelly stated. The best part is that Sanders does it all while keeping his main profession, Colorado football, in the center. After all this, Nelly had a simple question: “What do you think is going to happen to that environment when the wind starts piling up when the bowl games happen and the National Championship happens?”

National Championship might be quite a far-fetched dream the Buffs might be looking at but it’s still a dream they have walking into the 2024 season. To reach there, however, Deion Sanders would need to overcome the impending situations they are presented with.

The forthcoming challenge for Deion Sanders

As Deion Sanders and Co. gear up to face the Nebraska boys, there is one fear tagging along with Sanders. Deion Sanders knows North Dakota boys mean serious business. Colorado is coming off a bruised 4–8 season. If they lose against North Dakota, it would be like ripping out the band aid off them, setting a bad tone for the upcoming games.

Those guys come to play and they can play,” Deion Sanders had confessed during an appearance on ‘Undisputed’ when he first saw the game schedule back in January. Right after the North Dakota clash, CU has to clash with Nebraska, another challenging one for them. How do you think Colorado would strive out of these competitions?
