For Manning, the real game action is more important as he’s more “focused on playing football on the field.”

The 2023 season marked his first season in Texas. The 5-star recruit chose the Longhorns over other dominant programs like Tennessee, Ole Miss, and LSU, among others. He played sparingly last season, completing 2 of 5 passes for 40 yards. Next season, he’ll serve as the backup QB to Quinn Ewers before starting in 2025. Despite being a potential top 5 to grace the cover of this highly touted game, his decision to opt out comes as a real shocker. But while he’s cutting himself off, other QBs are striving to be on the cover.

Given his high NIL valuation of $4.7 million and his popularity and influence over a large audience, the chances are high.
