It’s the recruitment season, and teams are looking forward to building their future squads. Developing bench strength is the key to making a great future team and ensuring it achieves its objectives. One of the latest recruitments from Seminoles is taking the internet by storm.
The Seminoles’ head coach, Mike Norvell, was seen alongside their new recruit, KJ Bolden. The 5-star safety has committed to Florida State Seminoles over Georgia. This is the second time in recruitment history that FSU has won against Georgia for getting a player on the team. The No. 16 prospect overall received multiple prospects but chose to side with FSU.

The Florida State Seminoles are recovering from their playoff snub and perhaps still have that animosity in their hearts. However, as the sun sets on the 2024 season, there’s some excellent news for the side. The #2 ranked athlete from Buford High School, Bolden rejected as many as five offers from various teams and then went ahead with FSU.

The Seminoles HC Mike Norvell also visited Bolden at his home before the recruitment. Bolden is excited to work with Norvell and expressed his emotions. “The culture and the history behind it, Deion (Sanders), Derwin (James) and Jalen Ramsey, all the great guys that went to that program. They bring a lot of great experience from a defensive back spot and I wouldn’t mind being a part of that,” he said. KJ Bolden has much to thank Mike Norvell for his recruitment, and the player feels indebted.

Bolden mentioned that he was enamored by the hospitality shown by Seminoles’ staff and the management. “Coach [Mike] Norvell, he showed me that he was willing to do whatever to make me successful. He said he’ll do everything in his power and he’ll never give up on me,” he said. Coach Norvell’s words and beliefs inspired him to choose the team for the 2024 season.

Bolden further described the relationship he had with the team and its coaches. A sense of reassurance was always given to the youngster for his next set of moves. “It’s not good to commit because of a coaching staff, but I feel like I’m close with all those guys. They’re always texting me, even if it’s offensive or defensive coaches, both sides. I just felt real close with that school.”
